Just uploaded an episode to Descript [ Trial ] to see how it will handle it.
I'm impressed by how fast it actually transcribed the audio file with so much accuracy. Also the ability to find multiple speakers, name them and separate their speech in Text is awesome.
You can also find the "Ums' ' Uhs' automatically and remove them from the Audio with one click [ requires Pro Membership ].
The highlight for me was the Studio Effect, since the podcast episode I recorded was outdoors with a guest, it was getting windy first and then it started raining, so we had to change location 2 times with different background noise elements.
I can't believe what I'm hearing with this effect applied, the Audio is scrip and crystal clear with no Robotic distortion that you normally get from similar correction effects.
Some words are skipped though if the AI doesn't know what to do with them because the audio source was bad at that moment it's literally uncorrectable, bust most of those are in the intermission so no big deal actually.
Overall I'm so impressed by Descript AI. I will upload a sample of both before and after for you to hear the difference [ it's like Magic ].
