From 1993 to 2003, I worked for The CFIDS Association of America (which became the Solve ME Initiative). From 1997 to 2003, I ran the organization's research grants program and its grassroots advocacy initiatives. In these roles, I:
- Oversaw a peer-reviewed research grants program, established scientific resources to standardize research methodologies, and directed international research symposia to advance medical research.
- Managed a multidimensional grassroots advocacy program, providing thousands of volunteers with training, materials, and opportunities to participate in public policy activities.
