2021 was fairly uneventful until the summer. Throughout the year, Valentine and I just kept taking on new clients, shipping great work, and iterating on our approach to what will come to be known as Operations Design.
Things started picking up when we landed a contract with MetaLab — our biggest client to date. At the time, they were at a 150-person agency, which was five times larger than our typical client. We were initially hired to streamline and automate their new hire onboarding process but also ended up helping revamp sales and other processes, and they are still a client today (Nov 2022).
Closing this deal was important because it was the first really legit company logo to show off on our site, which had a very positive impact on our reputation. Beyond that, it give us a really serious confidence boost, which paved the way to closing even bigger deals.
