🚀 This is my first time participating in Hacktoberfest and it has been a lot of fun so far! I always wanted to make an open-source contribution but it felt quite intimidating.
My PRs were for SUI Components, Adevinta Spain's Open-Source library of React components. Working on these PRs made me get a better understanding of Design Systems.
In the past, I've used Material.io(Material UI) and there were times where I couldn't get the info I needed from a demo or I didn't understand why I cannot change some styles by using the theme.
By getting the opportunity to work on SUI components, updating demos and documentation as well as adding new features I can tell that I am more aware of how things work under the hood and that I if I want to make a change I could simply raise an issue via Github and if it gets accepted work on it as well 😎
Thank you, Turo López Sanabria and Andrés Lucas Enciso for doing such a great job of explaining how one can contribute and what is needed 🙌
