Hunt for the suitable icon packs


I collaborated with developers from another team to explore the feasibility of adding icons to Outsystem. We considered 4 icon packs - Noun Project, Streamline, IcoMoon, Font Awesome. Performed a comparison matrix in terms of icon diversity, development ease, and cost

  • Noun project has the most diverse set of icons out of all.
  • It is possible to have custom icons in Font Awesome and, for that we need to place the request to the Font Awesome team. 
  • Icomoon provides the option to import other custom icons, which are obtained from other packs.
