A crash course in UX Research

I love the analogy about building a boat and how important it is to understand the entire context (like how the boat and water go hand-in-hand). I did not know what service safari was (which is what we did by using smiling mind). The speaker was spot on about not merely copying features from competitors, it is important to validate them. He mentioned that it becomes dangerous if we start treating assumptions as facts. I learnt about "record first click". This can be useful in learning about the entire navigation and IA. Super helpful in understanding where to improve. Intercepts is pretty cool just need to make sure that the user is not startled
