Devhouse Spindle (hereafter referred to as Spindle) was built from the ground up as a Holacratic organization. This helped Spindle avoid many of the traditional pitfalls that other organizations have stumbled over during a transition between operating structures. All colleagues were enthusiastic and ready to learn new systems, structures, and methods of governance, and for those adopting Holacracy, the increased clarity surrounding roles and accountabilities was considered a marked improvement on the confusion they’d experienced over the preceding years.
