From July 4–8 I took the time to redesign my own website, which had a self-built side-scrolling effect before. Although I liked it, it wasn't really user-friendly (if you want to know why, read until the end).
So I recreated all the modules I used before from scratch and gave them a new touch while making sure to have them work on desktop as well as mobile — as responsive as possible; which means: You should be able to just barely read all of the auto-scrolling text now, no matter what your screen size or aspect ratio is.
Flexing, just because you wanted it: The site I built before the current one (with almost all modules excluding the header) took me only around 8 hours (I didn't have more time) to completely build from scratch including watching tutorials on how to even do the vertical scrolling in Webflow.
The only problem with this effect was, that you HAD to scroll down (even on mobile devices) to make the side move sideways — oof :/
