In my Retail Data project, I tackled fragmented data hindering the client's sales tracking, analysis, and customer insights. I teamed up to design a robust SQL database, building a well-defined conceptual model (ERD) that translated into normalized tables using SQL CREATE TABLE statements (and potentially implemented with sample data). We established CRUD operations for data manipulation. The outcome? Increased inventory accuracy, improved sales tracking, and enhanced data-driven decision making, leading to operational efficiency and a foundation for future growth for the business. This project honed my expertise in database design, data integrity, and advanced SQL. I'm grateful to my team members and Professor Dinakar Jayarajan for their contributions. This experience equips me to discuss database design, SQL proficiency, and project management skills in interviews, on my resume, LinkedIn profile, and during networking conversations, showcasing my ability to solve real-world data management challenges.
