It has been very close before. Pow Wow, but lately it has been imminent. Maybe more imminent than ever before. Something on top of your fingertips, something on your mind. Something in your belly. It finally came out: I am making a new game. And a game studio. Again. With a crew. But this time different.
Life in Vietnam has treated me and us.. well. Leo learned to say "no". He is almost six months old now. A good fella. Couldn't get any better than this.
Our local life here in Hai Phong City, Vietnam has been a blessing. Can you see it? There's around one million people today living in this metropolitan area and it hosts only one McDonald's. I've been loving the Asian foods but at the same time I've been craving some of the western tastes like a burger. Cannot complain. Ate a few burgers too.
Leo has been my personal helper. He's often next to me when I craft things on my laptop. He's interested in what I do. I'm using an Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max, 256 Gb, and a MacBook Pro 14" (XDR Retina 3024x1964) M2 Pro, 32 Gb RAM, 500 Gb SSD. With this setup, it's already possible to do proper work, almost already ready for success - which however has been getting a lot harder, if you haven't mentioned... but without a proper workstation gear and setup, impossible! And not to mention the right working rhythm and the helpy helpers around you, everything much needed.
The game studio, product, and the crew are in the works, I'm not giving up this time. More information here: https://theorg.com/org/hammer-out-games/
The first investor deck of our studio startup can be found online at least by the time of writing this: https://tinyurl.com/hog-deck/ It's made with a tongue in the cheek.

We're still planning to stay for almost a couple of months here in the tropics before returning to Finland. It's gonna be fun and exotic, but sweaty times ahead.
See you later then, alligator! 🦎
