Today marked the start to our first Project Go Dark Music Industry Pipeline Program!
For four days we took our brilliant students through icebreakers, team building activities, and a crash course taught by Cortez Bryant and our PGD team about the recording, distribution, and publishing industry.
After finishing the course our Fall ‘21 cohort were tested on their knowledge and subsequently placed in an internship or apprenticeship that lined up with their specific interests after passing. This years career pathways include PR, A&R, Entertainment Law, Marketing, Project Management, and Engineering. This week students will get introduced and acclimated to their internship opportunities and participate in a resume workshop with Polywork on Wednesday.
The Fall ‘21 class is comprised of six women and four men representing various HBCU’s including: Clark Atlanta University, Spelman College, Morehouse College, Johnson C Smith University, Florida A&M University, and Hampton University
Say hello to PGD’s First MIP Class
