Freelancing comes with its perks. But, there are downsides as well.
 
One of them is that you are never really a "part" of an organization. 
 
Since you are either on a contract basis or a retainer model, your focus is on work and delivery. You aren't an "employee."
 
Due to this, I lose out on small things such as annual bonuses, merchandise, perks, etc. I am more or less used to it!
 
That is why this box of goodies came as a sweet surprise to me. One of my clients sent it over and I was so overwhelmed to be recognized as a part of the team. 
 
It's a little thing but serves as such an important booster! Inclusion is the best feeling ever!
