Hotshot #6

“Coming from a small town in Switzerland, this is the big city life, everything you could ever hope or wish for. You have way more culture here than almost anywhere in the country. It’s been my dream to move here since I was 14, I blame the American movie industry! And the way life works out, when you have your mind set on something, somehow the pieces fall into place.

When it comes to creating my Instagram content, what happens a lot of the time is that my best pictures and content are created completely spontaneously! For example, we were driving around Turks and Caicos and found a spot right on the beach. So we quickly pulled over, I had an outfit in the car that I changed into, snapped the picture, and it became one of my best performing posts ever! Sometimes everything just comes together, the light, the wind. It only took us half a minute. Sometimes it just happens.

My blue theme was unplanned. I was originally going to incorporate a pink hue to my pictures. But, I had a few photos from our trip to Cancun a year ago and I really enjoyed seeing those pictures in my feed, so I began to incorporate the blues into my style. It can be a struggle to accurately portray places though. On one hand, you want to create an artwork that sells. On the other hand, you want to stay true to yourself and true to the place. It’s a balance.
