What's the Point?
Why does this website exist? Why am I reading this post? What’s the meaning of life?
These are all valid questions. In the interest of being transparent, I’m going to start with the truth and work my way back. The truth is, Lava Front Page was created to help drive traffic to our brand. But what I SHOULD ALSO tell you is that this part of Lava was created to provide entertainment, to provide insight, and to provide a marketplace. In a lot of ways, this is the real truth. However, the reality of the world we live in is that if you want to create cool stuff, you need to generate funds to do so.
Traffic = Money = Cool Stuff (hopefully)
We all know that, but most times, that part gets left out when a company describes its purpose. That doesn’t change the fact that we want to use that money in order to build the best coffee platform we can. The platform that coffee deserves. You see, coffee shops are no longer just shops that sell coffee; they’re community centers. We go to them for meetings, dates, to work, to hangout, for events, and of course, for the coffee, which itself has birthed a whole new menu of often times confusing options. That concept was the genesis of Lava Coffee Club and our search platform, a tool that can truly tailor to what a person is looking for in their coffee shop. Yeah, you can use a search engine to find the nearest 4+ star coffee shop near you, but what does that really mean? Our goal is to match you with the community center you’re looking for. After all, everyone wants to find their Central Perk.
But why stop there?
If the coffee community is so robust, so should be the platform that serves it. For that reason, we bring you Lava Front Page. Here you can expect to find engaging and relatable blogs, motivational and informative articles, and entertaining columns. You can expect to find interesting research on the science and process of coffee growing as well as what we need to do to be sustainable. Most importantly, you can expect to learn more about the crazy, elaborate world that coffee has evolved into so you can order a cortado and know what to expect.
If we do our jobs right, you can expect to laugh, you can expect to cry, you can expect to learn, and most importantly, you can expect to become part of a community, dare I say club. And hey, maybe in the process, you’ll learn a little more about what meaning you give to your life. So sit back, relax and enjoy your train ride, car ride, or morning coffee at your desk (don’t worry, we won’t tell your boss).
