This week I read Play Nice But Win by Michael Dell. Next month I will hit five (5) years with Dell Technologies. My previous time at EMC puts me at nearly eight (8) years with the company.
In the day-to-day efforts of my job, I sometimes wonder how my role helps our larger company strategy. As Michael walked through the journey of Dell from his dorm room (Dobie 2713) to the company we are today, it clicked.
I'd recommend anyone to read this book. It's a fascinating recount of Dells' start, go-private, reentry into the public markets, and merger with EMC.
