I was always a perfectionist and I would beat myself up if I didn’t get anywhere close. This constant strive for perfection was linked to procrastination and a never ending cycle of making myself feel bad for not achieving enough. I now know that perfection does not exist. We can get damn close however sometimes other factors can play a part in the things we do and we have to find a way to accept and embrace that. Turning up, taking action and facing the world can show huge strength and sometimes we don’t congratulate ourselves enough for this.
