Over the last weeks, I had the chance to speak to three researchers and scientific transfer staff about the opportunities and challenges of modern high tech food production in the region of Brandenburg.

Especially the episode on microalgae was a ton of fun. Being a biotechnology engineer with a background in plant science myself, I found it fascinating to talk about the practicalities of growing a photosynthetic organism in water for food – and at scale, while using wastewater from other food industries as sugar input.
