I'm not a frontend engineer and I sure don't enjoy over engineering anything so I was pretty happy to make a small contribution to https://github.com/diyhrt/diyhrt.github.io repository.
I made a simple change so that the navbar does not need to be modified on every webpage on a non template generated site.
