Welp... started diving into learning about Azure. Working my way through the "fundamentals" learning paths.

Discovered a chapter on Algorithms in my 8th-grade math textbook, while the class was finishing up an in-class assignment. (And now you know how old I am. No ageism, please!)

Laid off! Found another opening within the week at Pulse8, a startup that had been acquired by Allscripts the year before. Cranked up my Python, PowerShell and Angular knowledge.

Transferred to another project -- Sunrise Emergency Dept. (Date is approximate, to the best of my recollection.)

Continue working as Java webapp developer, as A4 acquires Canopy.

Started a new job at Canopy Systems, a startup, developing what started out as a case-management webapp for healthcare case managers, in Java/SQL/HTML/Javascript.

Worked at Davidson College as a Systems Operator and Software Developer (Prime 750 minicomputers, FORTRAN, PL/1)

Worked at Data General, as a build-tool developer (bash, perl, awk, make, etc.; some C)

Worked at Cone Mills in a Burroughs mainframe data-processing shop (LINC 4GL, ALGOL, WFL)

Finished a six-month through-hike of the Appalachian Trail.

Graduated Davidson College with a BS in Physics.

Graduated UNC Chapel Hill with a Master's in Computer Science
