Shared an Experience
So, this happened yesterday and I CANNOT stop thinking about it. The lead developer of our team sent this message to our CEO: "So far, I would say that Zahra and Hetal have done amazing job! Thanks again for adding great talents to the dev team. I'm so grateful for them." Knowing my work is not going unnoticed, knowing the hard work is appreciated makes me feel so good and encouraged to work more and more! I know there is always scope for improvement, but it is also very important to appreciate work.

I would like to share about the kind of treatment I got from my previous workplace which forced me to leave it. Personally, I believe I was doing good work. However, my boss felt I am taking longer to solve a particular issue which could be resolved by my coworker in half time (I was an entry level worker while all my coworkers had a minimum of 5 years of experience), instead of guiding me, I would get insulted by my boss in the standup meetings, he never replied to my messages, kept on telling me that I am not able to meet the expectations of the team (literally in every conversation, he was very rur). Then came a time when I would be afraid to even join the meetings or ask doubts when I am stuck somewhere, everything had become so toxic, I was stressing so much within just two months of work there, I knew I had to leave that place, and so I did. And as soon as I did that, only good things came my way. I was hired by the best people, I can see the difference!

All I am saying is it affects a lot on how an employee is being treated, and if not well, the company loses a good worker.
