This session demonstrated how to extend battery life by showing the real world impact of system level architecture decisions. The session introduced a technique for measuring battery current and then use that technique to compare the power efficiency of different system implementations. Tradeoffs analyzed included: power architecture, operating voltage, sensor data interfaces, DMA, SIMD.
