This week's book was 'The Hard Things About Hard Things' by Ben Horowitz. For a business book, I found it quite refreshing. It covered a lot of areas that you wouldn't read about in conventional business or leadership books.
Here are some of the points I have been reflecting on:
π In meetings ask: What are we not doing?
π Nobody cares, just coach your team.
π‘ Being too busy to train your people is the moral equivalent of being too hungry to eat.Β
π Ask yourself: Whatβs the game plan for winning?
π¦»π» In a one-on-one: The manager should do 90% listening and 10% talking this is often the opposite.Β
π Focus on the road, not the wall.
