Skype mobile™
As part of Skype's ongoing relationships with major carriers, I was the interaction designer for the Verizon and KDDI branded "Skype mobile" applications for BlackBerry OS, Android and BREW handsets.
The product was formally announced at Mobile World Congress in 2010. Of particular importance to Verizon was the BlackBerry Torch handset - as a product team, we optimised for the BlackBerry OS user experience guidelines, shipping the product with a trackball and touch-friendly UI that was in keeping with the paradigms already learned from the native e-mail and SMS clients.
