I've been working (on and off) on a React Native app that has a few screens, two of which are simple puzzles.
I remember seeing some of the sections from Riot's League of Legend 3D puzzle event from a year or two ago and really loved the rotating rings section of that. That was on a sphere, but it worked like 3 concentric rings.
This puzzle doesn't have a single flow of energy from the outside to the inside, but rather a few lines of nodes which need to line up. Very simple in practice to solve as a player, but it was incredibly fun and challenging in parts to work on.
I have a few more ideas like this, including something like the Leylocked Chests in Nazjatar, in World of Warcraft and the digital lockpicking of Starfield.
