Implemented a Technology Radar within EMIS Group Plc. Taking the concept originally championed by ThoughtWorks, and rolling this out to the engineering department and wider business. There were three of us who took this challenge on, when the request came from management to get something like this implemented.
We defined a process that heavily utilised the features of GitHub to allow contributions/content from all engineers within the department. Engagement/discussion was all channeled through the Pull Request process within GitHub.
In order to get the content to a wider audience, I personally implemented a Hugo web site. The web site displayed all the content contributed by the engineering teams. This was deployed using Jenkins into AWS S3.
Once the first phase of the Tech Radar was implemented, I was a key advocate for a Governance Team that would have a rotation of engineers, so the project would benefit from fresh ideas. This is where I was able to work with Andy Barnes who championed the project with a fresh set of engineers.
