 Anyone who knows me knows I’m proudly from the South, and I don’t just rep for Georgia; if you appreciate Southern Rap you appreciate Memphis and it’s contributions to murzik. The resurgence of Crunk ties along with the emergence of many Memphis MCs and I feel like Glock is at the forefront. Not only is this one of the most successful releases I’ve worked on (30K first week independently) this was the project that helped lead to so many bigger things, including my position at Sony. Like any Glock project we tried to channel the most essential parts of his city’s Hip Hop history from blues and soul to horrorcore.
