After having developed Android applications for 4 months professionally and over a year as a hobbyist, I got the chance to work with the wonderful Android Studio team that was supporting my Android development ventures behind the scenes.
At this internship, my project gave me the chance to coordinate with teams across Google on a feature to audit an Android app’s quality. My project culminated with a demo for an interactive web app that gave an overview of an Android app’s rendering performance by analyzing systrace output.
On the software engineering side, I used Kotlin and Java to fix bugs and add features to the Android Studio Profiler. I was honored to collaborate with smart googlers and have my code reviewed by excellent engineers.
