This piece was done as a gift for a secret santa exchange. It is watercolor on 11x14 Bristol. I used reference images. I really love the richness of the hues, the contrast, and the way that the life sprouting from the acorn is so colorful, juxtaposed against the mostly monochromatic surrounding subject.
