This piece was done in a travelling sketchbook, and was painted with watercolor. There were loose image references for both animals, but otherwise it's an original composition. Some friends on instagram and I were doing an "animal challenge" where we would draw or paint an animal, then tag each other and name a different animal.
This piece has sadly been lost to the aether! One of the people had a blog called "Crab & Fish" and mailed around a travelling sketchbook so that we could all put something in it. I don't know what happened to the sketchbook -- I had mailed it to the next participant but never heard anything from anyone, and the original sender vanished. Whoever has the sketchbook, I hope you enjoy the painting. :)
