About Bee Line:
Based out of Oregon, Bee Line Transportation was established in 2005 as a specialized RV hauler that travels across Canada and the United States with its ever-growing trucking fleet.
The Situation:
Bee Line's operation was purely handwritten and required data duplication for almost every process. Although the process worked, Bee Line wanted to improve its operation and become more efficient with the help of a software development agency.
Our Approach:
Valere Labs was tasked with developing an end-to-end management platform for mobile and web that delivers high-ticket items for retailers. The team was in charge of Bee Line’s digital transformation journey, from an analog-based database to a digital database.
Valere Labs’ team of full-stack engineers completed the wireframes for the web interfaces as well as all three mobile applications for both IOS and Android. The team held weekly meetings and communicated regularly with the client to deliver timely project updates. React and React Native was employed for the Front End and PHP/Laravel was used for the back end. The web application was first developed, with the mobile applications being completed in a timely manner well within the client’s time frame.
Results:
After the launch of the system, Bee Line was able to dramatically reduce the amount of duplication and handwritten paperwork, giving them more time to process and schedule more shipments. The client reported that right after the implementation, they experienced an immediate increase in weekly revenue.
As of today, the application has allowed Bee Line Transportation to achieve close to a 10,000 order milestone. Additionally, the mobile apps also received high praise from the client’s customers and their drivers for their self-serve system and robust design.
