About Sukhi Wellness:
Sukhi is a health and wellness service based in Washington DC, with its mission being to foster effective corporate collaboration and reduce burnout - ultimately resulting in happier employees and healthier organizations. Sukhi desired to leverage technology in a thoughtful manner, to provide Data-driven mindfulness programs for companies.
The Situation:
Sukhi Inc was in search of a software development partner to work with them on a mobile platform so they can offer their services in a SaaS, subscription-based model. This platform would be their flagship application that can host their live and on-demand resources to strengthen resilience, relationships, and balance within an organization. This digital platform would need to be different from its competitor by offering live workshops and retreats to support cultural heritage months, and track/build employee engagement.
Our Approach:
Valere Labs was tasked with developing the cross-platform mobile app using React Native. However, before they could start on the app, Valere first built out the administrative content management system web portal so the Sukhi team can manage the content independently, without Valere engineers.
Valere Labs dedicated a team of eight staff members filled with experienced dev engineers, UI/UX designers, and QA testers, led by a project manager to communicate with the client daily. The software engineers used the PHP Laravel framework on the backend and the administrative portal and used React Native for the rest of the development, with the entire platform being hosted on AWS. The team hosted weekly sprint planning with regular communications to ensure that there are no development issues.
Results:
The Valere team of full-stack engineers was able to launch the app well in the client’s desired time frame, with the client being very impressed by how Valere Labs was able to work around their changing requirements and accommodate their workflows to meet their soft launch date. The app achieved great success with 5-star reviews and Sukhi Inc was able to partner with giants such as Amazon, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, Verizon, Bain & Company, Accenture, Capital One, and more!
